Subsonic Tow Test
The basic aerodynamic properties and behaviour of the balloon during subsonic descent was tested by towing a 1-m model balloon behind a car. This resembles roughly the same aerodynamic environment than the full scale balloon descending through 10 000 meters altitude within the Martian atmosphere.
